in times of war, Muslims are not to harm prisoners of war (captives), women, children, elders, animals and trees.

First he was not a fighter, all the war was imposed on him by Mecca people (non believer of God)
2nd he never killed any people. Give me one answer what u will do if any guy, attacks u and ur family? Do u fight and try to kill him or u will allow him to kill u and ur family? My answer lies in this question.
3rd he never ever killed any children and women in any war.
4th no he never think any body sinner, rather he always pray for them, he pray for all the humanity of this world. He is not the prophet of just Arabs, but he is the only prophet who came for the whole world. And he was not confined to just one locality.

No, true Muslims only kill if they or their family are in direct danger and can not or should not flee. Mohammed (pbuh) did not kill any people except in battle, and never killed any women or children. Islam forbids killing women, children, and the elderly, even in battle.

Mohammed was NOT ordered to spread Islam by the sword. He was ordered to fight back in self defense, when the infidels failed to kill him when they sent men to his house, they gathered an army to wipe out all Muslims. No he did not kill any civilian, how can a woman or a child come to the battle ground?
Whatever U read a phrase like: "kill them" in the Quran, it is for Mohammed to urge fellow Muslims to fight back non-believers CHARGING AT THEM, not to go about killing harmless non-believers.

Right after 9/11 I read some books dealing with Islam and its history. I can't remember if Mohamed himself killed women and children, but his home-boys did (and still do through indiscriminate bombings). My facts are just as valid as anyone else, since NONE OF US were alive to witness the "facts" as given to us in history books.

Muhammad cleared those MEN(only) who were enemy of Islam.
He never killed a single person who became his personal enemy...
Instead he invited him to embrace Islam...
& when in every other book there is written to kill the enemy WHEN IN WAR WITH THEM, same is for muslims....

I just wanted to add one more information to what poki poki and other Muslims had already said. Muslims are commanded no to harm a tree not only human being during wars, notice that, DURING WARS, so how about peace times?
