My boyfriend doesnt say he loves me all the time it makes me really insecure, he say he loves me every now and then, well quite alot but my previous boyfriend was so sopy and text me every minute of the day saying he loves me with flowers and chocolates and teddys and present, so i have gone from one extreme from the other. i make it quite clear to my present boyfriend that i love him and i do but i feel insecure, i have spoke to him about this and he assured me he does love me, but when we first started dating he used to tell me he missed me, and a few months ago he told me i didnt miss u before but i really do miss u now, so what is to stop him saying i didnt really love u then but i do love u now. i dont no wat i am saying makes any sense but men can i have your opinion please. thanks

Some men are really like to say sweet things to proved that he really loves u and some men do not know how to prove it. Ur previous boyfren really smart and know how to make u happy, so its make u compared. Once u compared two different guys,then u realised the ways they treated you. U cant expect that your present boyfren just like your previous boyfren.Everyone have their ways to shows their love.
Your boyfren say that ""i didnt miss u before but i really do miss u now"" and ""i didnt really love u then but i do love u now""....A very common point here is when you first see a person do you feel love to that person, that time u even know that really love or like. Human need to know each other first then the feeling of like slowly turn to love. Try to give some time to your boyfren to show his love to you. Some occasions that guy should say "I love U" is valentines day, ur birthday, ur both important day such as first date, first time he say that he love u and u accept his loves. If your boyfren never say and celebrates these occasions to you, the answer is he already feel bored with you..

I was in a relationship not too long ago where we used the "L" word a lot. I put everything I had into it, Calls, Letters, Flowers for no reason, and ended up being betrayed. Now that I'm in a pretty good relationship , I can't seem to say it. Maybe he was hurt before, and has a protective shell around his feelings ?? Then again, I don't think everybody walks around all the time thinking about love, and their significant other. Maybe he's absorbed in his work, or school, or whatever.

well??? let me get this straight, IT'S suffocating if your boyfriend tells you he loves you every second,(assuming that you dumped the other guy cause you couldn't breathe) but you want your current boyfriend to do the same? he says it to you once in a while, count your blessings and be happy. the fact that he shares such emotional words with you may mean alot for a guy who may find it hard to express himself,(and believe me, guys are USUALLY like that) love yourself, you don't need a guy to tell you about what wonderful qualities you obviously possess.

Here it is straight up. For the most part heterosexual guys don't say their feelings out loud, its considered a sign of weakness, there are a few discrepancies, but i wouldn't worry about it. just trust me men don't always tell you their feelings

I guess some guys aren't as romantic as others. They could also be the type that don't share their feelings openly as to say "I love you". I have seen some men really do love their wives/gf but don't say it.

best thing you can do is get yourself a girlfriend to talk to.
