Well nothing tempted him then he was sick after he drank a tiny bit of water and started being wobbly on his legs. He is now in the vets on a drip and having blood tests done. I hope to God its only the after effects of having 2 teeth out on Friday and nothing ominous...he is all I have.
Better make this a question so will everyobody cross their fingers please?
xx

It is probably your cat's reaction to the anaesthetic which he had to pull his teeth out. You did right to get him back to the vet just in case.
Be optimistic and don't torture yourself imagining the worst scenario. There will be enough anguish if it happens to be something more serious.
All of us who love our cats like children are keeping our fingers crossed for you and your beloved cat. Keep your chin up and let us know by a comment in a few days time that all is well and we can uncross our fingers..

My cat went the same after he has his nuts chopped off. He was sleeping all the time wouldn't eat of drink. I took him back to the vets who put him on antibiotics for 1 week.
After 1 week there was still no change and he had to have blood tests for cat aids and leukaemia.
All the tests come back negative and my cat done a complete u-turn and is fine now.

The vets still dint know what was wrong with him. I personal think he got a infection from the vets but they wont own up to that.

So i hope your cat will do the same.

Good luck i think your cat will be fine. Fingers and toes crossed.

Fingers & toes crossed.

Big kudos to you for taking kitty back to the vet as you did - try to give yourself a pat on the back for being a good kitty mommy. And don't think for a moment that your kitty doesn't know just how much you love him or that he doesn't appreciate your doing what is best for him. Cats are sooooo smart and intuitive. He might, on the surface, give you a bit of an attitude about the whole process ... but that's only to save kitty-face. Deep down though, he's loving you all the more for worrying over him and taking such good care of him. Even though you're not at his side every moment, being such an intuitive creature, he can still hear all of the loving thoughts you're sending to him ... and those messages from you are helping him get through his hosptial stay.

I know it's hard for you right now, and I feel for you. Please be sure to let us know how it all turned out ... we'll all be thinking of you and sending warm hugs to both you and your kitty.

I'll pray for your kitty. My cat had 4 teeth pulled out and he was really strange for hours and hours after - I stayed up all night to watch him and called the vet first thing in the morning. I wondered if it was the pain-killer that was zombie-ing my cat and asked the vet if i could discontinue it. Vet said that Kaffe (my cat) will still be in considerable pain and that he wouldn't suggest discontinuing. At any rate, my cat gradually got back to normal the next 24 hrs... Gee, I do hope it will be the same with your kitty.

Did they monitor your cat's vitals and put him on a drip during surgery?

I previously told you not to worry, but that was before he was sick. You did the right thing taking him back to the vet. He'll be well cared for now. I know you must be worried sick but I'm positive he'll come through this and will be fine.

I've got all my fingers and toes crossed and my 4 cats have got all their paws crossed for you too. Good luck. Please post another "question" and let us all know how he gets on.
