The herb valerian is very effective, as long as you aren't exhausted. If you are, it tends to give more energy, as it is a bancer. Catnip works well, and mullien, or 1/3 dose of hawthorn (which should be used sparingly as it is used for the heart, & can be very strong). These are all herbs that you may not have on hand.
There are also homeopathic remedies for calming & sleep.

Melatonin is a natural sleep enhancer. It's not cheap, but it works and is worth the money. Also, it takes two weeks for your 'body clock' to adjust to all this so don't expect immediate results day in and day out.
You can also try this; 3-200mg Ibuprofen, along with 1-500mg Tylenol PM....THAT will REALLY put your butt to sleep! lol...it's the equivalent of taking 2 vicoden pain killer's...and will totally help your body relax.
For anxiety try Vitamins b-6 & b12, or b-complex...the only other thing that greatly helps with anxiety is being physically active.
good luck~

If you are going to bed at 2100 hrs in the night and getting up at 0500 hrs in the morning, it is normal. Medicines give only temporary relief and not a solution.
When you get up in the morning, go to a park nearby your place when the dew is fresh. Walk on the grass barefoot for 10 minutes. Sit on the grass facing the east. The raising sun rays have lot of beneficial properties. Please do breathing exercise for 5 minutes. Then do meditation for 5 minutes. Please do this continuously for 10 days minimum. In the night take your dinner at 2030 hrs and walk for 30 minutes. While going to bed take a glass of hot milk mixed with one teaspoon of cocoa.
In the bed your head should be on the south or east side. North and west sides possess magnetic disturbances and, therefore, these sides will disturb your sleep.
Should you need any other information, please send me a message.

- Eat before seven.
- Drink a hot drink before you go to bed.
- Take a warm bath or shower because it can make you fall asleep easier.
- Read a book before going to bed.
- Do not do any work or homework in your room because it will ruin the sleeping environment. Only use your bed room for sleeping and sex.
- Remove electric appliances from your room, TV for example or the computer.
- Make sure you do sports in the afternoon, it will make you tired and it will make you fall asleep easier.
- Make sure that you will also get enough sleep.
- Put lavender fragrances around your bed and make your bed smell fresh and nice. Lavender can make you fall asleep fast, no lavender? Use camomile.
- Write down your problems on a piece of paper and say goodnight to it. That will make you fall asleep easier. It works for most so it should work for you!
- Good luck!

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

I have anxiety too, the doctor gave me a medication for that but, to tell u the truth I hardly taking it because It has a side effect inside my brain. I'm a diabetic too, by experience, I do alot of walking everyday at least one hour or two. Try it, it might work because it works for me.

Well there is valium, ativan. lexotanil. These are some tranquilizers that will help you sleep. I have read though that drinking milk helps to induce sleep too. You might try that. Good luck and good night.
