It seems that the Vatican has always thought of itself as a political force and today seems to send out fewer and fewer missionaries. The Bible says, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." Do Roman Catholics think that every creature has already heard the gospel of Christ? Do Roman Catholics not intend to send missionaries to Muslims and to make it clear to Muslims that they need salvation?

Sadly the Vatican has really moved away from the "great commission" in recent years....In fact, this is even what their doctrine says....

Second Vatican Council, Lumen Gentium 16, November 21, 1964: “…The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day…”

Sorry, not true. The Catholic Church has lots of missionaries -- probably more than any other church, in fact.

The Vatican thinks everyone should be a catholic, that it is the one true religion. I would take a guess only and say that the Muslim religion is older than Christianity. There has been untold suffering done to people all over the world by trying to convert countries that do not belong to the church, to catholismn.

R U sure of such intentions? I hope U R not accusing the Vatican of such a thing.
If so, I would rather loose my life than leave my religion. I want to die as I was born, a Muslim.

Roman Catholics are not stupid. They want to avoid the Muslims.

Maybe our Roman Catholic buddies decided to practice what they preach. I wonder how long it'll be before the next Jesus Freak comes up to me and starts squabbling and engulfing me in his 'the-lord-can-save-you' trip.

What's with all the religious questions, anywhooo?? You are lookin' for trouble...

Ever tried to shove a wet sponge through a keyhole?

That's what it's like talking to Muslims about Christianity.

OK, here's what happened to me recently - two Christians came to my door to tell me the good news from the Kingdom of God - i said OK. They told me that Jesus loves me - i told them that i loooooove Jesus (pbuh). They were stunned - they gave me a copy of Bible - i told them to keep it coz i already have a copy of Bible in my home.

How about that?

Salvation from Jesus (pbuh) ? .......... yes, i have it already, thank you very much - coz i follow his doctrine - but, really, i DO NOT believe he's God - he was human and that's it

And yes, i believe he'll be back to fight Djelal (Anti-Christ) to unite us all in one religion - islam

peace to all of you :)
