I broke up with my boyfriend about a month ago, we were together for two years, he was verbally abusive and had to go. How long should I wait to start dating again?

Just wait until you feel ready.
There is no rush, so take the time to make sure all of your feelings about the verbally abusive jerk are internally resolved (this will spare you similar problems in future relationships).
Also, you might want to just take a period of time for you and you alone. Do what you want, on your time, and just be by yourself for a little while. It may help you to become better prepared to find men you really want to be with, and also, to help keep you with the one you want once you find him.

if he treated you like crap .. just dumb him and start another relationship immediately - I mean, verbally abusive? dang, u should've left him a year ago ! Well, hope you'll get over him soon and ready to start off a fresh new relationship, you can find someone better and remember there's always someone better out there!
