First of all, a dolphin is a fish. It's most commonly sold under the name mahi-mahi, for this very reason. I believe the animal you are refering to is the porpoise, which happens to be a mammal. I don't believe anyone actually eats them, but they do get caught in the fishing nets from time to time and run over by boats. But eat Flipper? I don't think anyone advocates that.

The dolphin on menus is a fish not the dolphins we think of at Sea World.
