The pope has recently said that Christians and Muslims worship the same god..... is that true? Do the words of Jesus, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one cometh unto the Father but by Me."...... mean nothing? What about the triune nature of Christ, the Doctrine of Christ?

I certainly expect to see man Christ-like Christians in heaven Insha Allah .......... we, muslims, do follow Jesus' (pbuh) doctrine - we just don't believe in his divinity

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one cometh unto the Father but by Me. If this was true then how many real Christians are there out of the 6 Billion on this planet. Then do you think the rest are doomed. Take my example I have not gone through Christ But I am blessed by the Lord himself I talk to him I have a load of powers gifted by God. This was inserted by interested people in the middle ages. It is not God inspired writing. Jesus said to follow Him and the path he showed for the people to follow the righteous path

I don't believe that the pope is accurate. Some Christians believe that Catholics are not Christians. Muslims believe that they are more Christ like than Christians. Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet, Some Christians believe that Jesus Is God. I believe that God only knows who is going to heaven and that religions nor labels will be there. Only individuals who worship God in spirit and in truth. IMO, muslims will not go to heaven because Jesus is the only way!

Yes, Muslims will get to heaven just like Christians. The same goes for Jews. When Jesus said nobody comes to the Father except by him, that was then; this is now. When Jesus said that the Muslim religion had not yet begun. Why do you ask? Where you hoping that you a Christian are holier than Muslims? Not likely.

AS a muslim.. I understand what Jesus's message was.. I am the way the truth and the life... Jesus taught Gods rule to the jews.. it was the truth.. your life was to be lived by those laws...
no one cometh unto the father but by me... well if you didnt believe in Jesus message you didnt get to God did you?... same as in Islam.. you believe in the prophets messages.. "all the prophets brought the same truth" you get to heaven to see God.. Jesus, Moses, Abraham, David, Mohammed etc etc.... They all brought the truth and if you didnt follow that way, that life, that truth, you didnt get to heaven.. simple and easy to understand.. whats the confusion... You are aware that muslims believe in Jesus arent you?.. Just that Jesus is not God.. .. why worship the created when you can worship the creator?... no middle man.. go right to the source.. Jesus was just a messenger...

Muslims and Christians worship the same God if you do not believe in the concept of Trinity. If you consider Jesus as God or the son of God then there is a difference.

As to who is going to heaven with who, I leave this to Allah. Allah knows best. We only try our best and pray to Allah to be rewarded for it and admitted into heaven because of Allah's mercy.

Peace

Islamic law holds the testimony of a Jew or a Christian invalid against a Muslim, and the penalty can be exacted only under improbable conditions-when two Muslims were willing to testify against a brother Muslim for the sake of an infidel.

Only the righteous among Muslims, Christians, Jews, and some other religions will go. Being a follower of certain religion does not grant heaven.

Muslims don't worship the same God I worship. As I said before, the pope probably said this to avert any more 88 year old nuns getting stabbed in the back.

If Jesus(pbuh) said that he is right for his time off course.
Before Prophet Jesus what would be your answer?
He said truth, If people follow his true teachings people will find way to heavens. If people follows teachings of those who infact oppose in his life and after God raised him start destorting teachings of Prophet Jesus, will not find straight path.

The True Founder of Christianity

The teachings of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, cannot be found anywhere in the teachings of Jesus or in those of prophets before him.

The Idols as Mediators
A Common Myth

[39:3] Absolutely, the religion shall be devoted to GOD alone. Those who set up idols beside Him say, "We idolize them only to bring us closer to GOD; for they are in a better position!" GOD will judge them regarding their disputes. GOD does not guide such liars, disbelievers.

[39:4] If GOD wanted to have a son, He could have chosen whomever He willed from among His creations. Be He glorified; He is GOD, the One, the Supreme.

Today's Christianity Not Jesus' Religion*

[5:72] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah himself said, "O Children of Israel, you shall worship GOD; my Lord and your Lord." Anyone who sets up any idol beside GOD, GOD has forbidden Paradise for him, and his destiny is Hell. The wicked have no helpers.

[5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.

[5:74] Would they not repent to GOD, and ask His forgiveness? GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

[5:75] The Messiah, son of Mary, is no more than a messenger like the messengers before him, and his mother was a saint. Both of them used to eat the food. Note how we explain the revelations for them, and note how they still deviate!

[5:76] Say, "Would you worship beside GOD powerless idols who can neither harm you, nor benefit you? GOD is Hearer, Omniscient."

*5:72-76 In John 20:17, we see that Jesus taught that he was neither God, nor the son of God. Many theologians have concluded, after careful research, that today's Christianity is not the same Christianity taught by Jesus. Two outstanding books on this subject are "The Myth of God Incarnate" (The Westminster Press, Philadelphia, 1977) and The "Mythmaker" (Harper & Row, New York, 1986). On the front jacket of "The Mythmaker" we read the following statement:
" ...Hyam Maccoby presents new arguments to support the view that Paul, not Jesus, was the founder of Christianity....it was Paul alone who created a new religion through his vision of Jesus as a divine Saviour who died to save humanity."
