No. Our skeletons are to heavy when compared to that of a bird's which is full of air pockets to give it strength but reduce its weight.

actually, I read a popular mechanics article a while ago, where a man put model airplane turbines (about thirty KG thrust) on a pair of boots, and, using a wingsuit, managed to attain horizontal flight. I don't remeber wich issue, but it was pretty cool. he launched from a hot air baloon.

Yes, but be careful. My girlfriend was flying like a bird, she was doing fine until she tried to fly upside down, she had a real nasty "crack up."
