I'm thinking about giving a 35 years-old guy I've been dating a wallet for Christmas. Could you help me figure out which style of wallet to buy for him? Tell me what kind of wallet you find easy to use. Was it half-folded long way, billfold (the kind which fit in the back of your pocket)? Or was it longer, check book style (the kind which fit in the inner jacket pocket)? Did have a pocket to put coins? I would appreciate it if you could provide me as much detail as possible, including color. Thanks!

Leather, black, trifold has been my favorite. Got one years ago from a now ex - still use it, love the thing.

No coin pocket, just places for credit cards, ID, security cards, RFID. And space to keep my bills flat of course...

its a great question and a really personal one. Hope you know the guy well..

Sweet gift.

Unless his own wallet is really old and worn, don't get him one. He would like to continue using his own. Get him a nice belt, necktie or watch.

Try and checkout what kind he uses now. I think Tri-folds are the most popular.
