I'm thinking about giving a 35 years-old guy I've been dating a wallet for Christmas. Could you help me figure out which style of wallet to buy for him? Tell me what kind of wallet you find easy to use. Was it half-folded long way, billfold (the kind which fit in the back of your pocket)? Or was it longer, check book style (the kind which fit in the inner jacket pocket)? Did have a pocket to put coins? I would appreciate it if you could provide me as much detail as possible, including color. Thanks!

If your guy wears suits to work.....then the half folded long way wallet will work well......that way checkbook and most all others will fit in it. I had one for years made from lambskin......it was wonderful. If he is more casual.....i would suggest a more traditional style.....made of nylon.....very casual and utilitarian. Don't worry about change storage....that's what pockets are for. Why not consider a money clip instead of a wallet? I, for one, hate the bulk of a wallet in my pants pocket. I carry a money clip and a small card case for a couple of credit cards and my drivers license. After many years i have come to the realization that this is the way i want to travel......light and not bulky.

The most comfortable which I find is the bill-folded one. It should have space for Credit Cards, business cards, driving licence, etc. and even some coins. The color I prefer is cherry or maroon. Nowadays you also get some which looks like a snake skin. So just go ahead and choose the best.

Forget the wallet and give him the ultimate present. Just turn up at his place naked with a six pack of beers... that will do the trick

I'd be tickled to get a set of pots and pans. Right now i got one cast iron frying pan,i have to boil stuff in an old used Crico can. But if i received an iron i might iron somebodies head.

My advice? Ditch the wallet idea all together. Imagine him giving you a purse--with sequins.
