I'm sorry to read your plight. Its not the best feeling in the world is it? My ex tells me he's still in love with me and that he can't move on because of the way he feels. I have moved on and got a new guy whom I adore but my ex see's us out and about and I don't think that helps the way he still feels. Only a very small town so can't do anything about it really. If you live in a city or large town just don't go to where this bloke goes, join clubs or a gym or similar where he won't be. If you're in a small town with no obligations, move somewhere else. Get a live-in job in a tourist place, meet different people every week. But don't go to bed with every man you meet, that just makes you easy. Take your time in finding someone new, the pain will get less, but get out there and live your life to the full. Sing feel good songs [but not Len Cohen] when you feel down, call your friends up and chat happily but don't mention HIS name for a month. Pack up everything you've got that reminds you of him and put it to the back of the cupboard with loads of stuff on top of it. Lifes too short to hanker over one person. Take your courage in your hands and wipe him out of your life if not your thoughts. LIVE. A lot! Good luck!

The easiest way to get over someone who does not love you back is to meet new people go out more and erase him from your life coz if you have contact with him you will only want him more. And who knows in the group of new people you meet you might find a very special guy i did. good luck with that babes xx

Im in the same position sort of. Although m now with someone else. Im still trying to get over my recent ex tho. Its painful and everyday things remind me of him. I find the best thing is to not see or be in contact with that person. I moved on cos i had to(he didnt love me) and then he contacted me out of the blue and its just made me sad again. Forget him. Go to aerobic classess, meet people, make yourself feel good again. Dont jump into another relaishonship until your ready tho, youl just end up comparing them. Be your own person and dont sit around being upset. Hope this kinda helps. Just remeber many people are feeling and going through the same as you right now and its something us humans all go through at soume point. Just be strong. x

personally I believe love is a two way street. So if you desire someone who does not reciprocate that may feel like love but it isn't.

But beyond that the best way to get over it is tow change your social habits so you don't come into contact with this person. Avoidance is time consuming but it works.

sorry he doesn't love you back. you can't just expect to get back in the game. it may sound cliche but give yourself time to heal. then think about doing the things you did before you were with that person, going out with friends, or maybe have movie nights with your best girlfriends, just don't focus too much on what could have been or how much you're hurt. i find it helps to write down my thoughts when i'm a bit depressed just to get them out there and almost out of me.

Find other interests. Meet new people. Go to the gym and work out to make yourself more attractive. Hang out with friends that will make you laugh and have a good time.

Uninhibited meaningless sex with someone who knows what they are doing and is unlikely to chase you for anything deeper.

Great sex without emotional commitment will create the doubt that will eventually severe the bond.

Stand in front of the mirror and tell yourself just that: "he does not love me"
Repeat as needed.

one answer... not the best.. the way to get over someone is to get under someone...

a better answer is to give it time. this is diffult I know... i know too well.. but well worth it in the long run. give it time.. things will get better as you build your life without this person.
