A few months ago a muslimah, she's a social worker in South africa, was fired coz she did not want to remove her head scarf.

The thing is, here in south africa, alot of african women cover their head, traditional clothing. Also alot of Apostolic christian women cover their heads. In both these cases society finds nothing wrong with it.

Allah Hu Akbar.
I salute that Lady who preferred Instructions from Allah on Worldly short term benefits.
Allah will reward if we follow His instructions no matter how people of ignorance taunt us, and how they named us.
All Prophets went through these situations and showed us how we can just focus on our target to fullfil God's requirement.
Steadfast and seek help from God Almighty .
Allah Hu Akbar.

Generally in offices in such cosmopolitan countries such as South Africa, policy states that no distinct sign of religious affiliation should be uncovered so as to protect people from discrimination that can affect the work environment. I'm sure that the worker had been warned and hadn't obeyed and that probably is the reason why she got fired.

Shaiytaan is leading the world. What do you expect? We as muslims are not supposed to just sit here and do nothing. Remember, we are to fight back, and not violently. Just don't listen. LET them jail us for using our freedom of religion to worship as we choose and dress as we so choose. Allah will make it easy. There is also a prophecy that one day the Hajj will be considered illegal. I, for one, plan to go ahead and do it anyway if it happens. Allah will always protect the true believers who fight for the cause of ALlah while keeping the command to not physically harm any innocents along the way.

its wrong and unjustified....

i think given time the whole head scarf thing will die down, its just illiterate politicians playing with the phobias of uneducated masses.

ps. in countries were the head scarf has become a topic i travel wearing one even though i am not muslim :))))

the best way to fight back is to simply and quietly defy

Then in this case it is double standards that rule the whole world and society needs to adopt and support the case of that woman; turn it into a public opinion matter. This is plain bullying based on religious reasons.

May Allah have mercy on us all.
Peace

... and is there a point here... ? How stupid. Yeah, some women like it and can't do it, others hate it but have to do it. Wow. Paradox. It's called life.
