What Highlights Should I Get?

I have long,wavy, light brown hair that i sometimes straighten. What color of highlights should i get?

I think since it's winter pale blond wouldn't really look right so I'd go for something just a few shades lighter than your current color. I think that the goal of most people who get highlights is to enhance what they've got. Since brown hair can sometimes look dull (even if you have healthy hair) highlights like this would really look great. Also talk to your stylist about what would work best with your cut. A few extra around the face can make all the difference in the world.

You are in the same boat as me. I go to a reputable salon which with their advice gives me the best highlights i have ever had. Though make sure you tell them you straighten your hair. I don't know why but that's what my hairdresser told me that she needed to know if i straighten my hair or not.

It all depends what type of look you would like, want something more natural? Or more daring?
For a natural look I'd say pick golden highlights, (in thin (sized) highlights, they add that extra glam to your look without over powering :)

For something a little more daring, you can go for platinum blond or copper in medium sized highlights.
