Hi, I would really like ONLY Jews to answer this question, because they will show me the good side of Judaism. I would like to learn more about the practical side of Judaism (prayers, their frequency, holidays, clothes that you wear - if any are specified, code of living, etc). I posted the same question yesterday and got bashed for wanting to learn about other religion ...... I hope it won't happen again.

Thanks in advance!

Links are welcome.

Respectfully ........... Azra

Well there are MANY sites for google. And if you wanted to know Hanukkah is coming up soon!(There are 4 ways to speell it!)

ONly boys wear the YAMACAS. . And there are 3, well 4 times of judaism. Reform(i am! really easy jewish.) Conservitive(in the middle), Orthodox(really really jewish. eats kosher foods. in services the boys and girls can not sit by eacheother... for some weird reason.) And the Messianic Jews. Which they should not be Jews. since the M.jews believe that jesus was their messiah then they should be christians, because that is what christians believed(aM I right?)

Oh and girls and boys have Bat(girls)mitzvahs and Boys have Barmitzvahs. they get it when they are 13.( i am getting one soon.) and they learn hebrew and they read hebrew in the torah infront of everybody with out vowels/

go on this site for more. THE names of them are how to pronounce them, gimmel(G. sound..) Hay(H sound) YOU GET it now...

I like Judasm for dummies and it is written by a Rabbi so it should include positive stuff.

The guy who said all monotheistic religions today have their origin in judaism is not correct btw.

Zoraster in old Persia is not related, for example. I don't believe Sikhism is either but that's a matter of debate.

All current monotheistic religions have thier origins in judaism. Jewsish tradition is in fact the predicessor of the muslim and Christian faiths.
The rituals are not so different than the rituals of any other religion, a means to remember the ones they love, the ones who sacrificed for them in the past, a way to honor thier belief in God and give thanks for what they have. Ritual is a way to re-member, no matter what religion you believe in.
