Hey i got my lip ring pierced 2 weeks ago on the left side on my lip. but it was pierced at a weird angle so the hoop rests in the crease of my mouth instead of resting toward the middle of my lip.. anyway i want to take it out so i can let it heal and get it re-pierced... how long should i wait or can i take it out now? and can i get it re-pierced in the same spot?

you can take it now if you want it to heal faster. and you can get it pierced in the same spot if you would like but i think that it would hurt more than usual

It's pierced just fine, the reason the jewelry rests in that direction is because that's what will happen with a CBR. It either goes one way or the other. I almost guarantee that if you repierce it that the same thing will happen. If you want it to lay the other way, flip the ring over.
Also, once the area heals and the swelling goes down, you can use a tighter fitting CBR which will probably help the jewelry sit more where you want it. If you HAVE to have it sitting at the center of your mouth, just get it pierced in the center, not off to the side.
I would wait for a bit before you do anything, but if you really want it redone, take the piercing out, wait 6-8 weeks before having it pierced.

You can take it out if you don't like it and it will heal up a lot faster once the hoop is removed. You will not be able to repierce in the exact same spot because you cannot pierce through scar tissue. A piercer may pierce very close to that spot to make it look as much like you want it to.

With piercing it in the same spot it will be through scar tissue which hurts more and sometimes an artist doesnt like to do it and as for it not sitting right it is still new and healing swollen if you 100% sure you want it redone take it out now to heal quicker but if it is convinient go speak to your piercer!!

It is safe to take it out now.
Why would you want to get it re-pierced in the same spot?
It is more painful going through scar tissue.
If you want to get it pierced in a different spot you don't have to wait for the other one to heal up.
Or you could always put a stud in it so you don't have to get it pierced again... since it is just the ring you don't like.

When I got the first ring in my lip I was told by the piercer if I did not like the way it was laying that I could train it to go the direction I wanted through the use of band-aids, just stick one on to hold the ring where you want if for a few nights while you are sleeping and it should be golden from there.

U can take it out now. I took mine out and my piercer recommended I wait 2 weeks to get it repierced. I had it done in the same spot, not a big deal. U can also "train" it to go the other way by putting in a stud for now. Rings and studs have different effects on healing. It may be easier to get it to go the other way afterward.

take it out now. use cleanser and neosporin to help heal faster and so it won't scar . i would wait 6 weeks before repiercing. it would depend on scar tissue whether or not you could pierce again in the same spot successfully.
