its not preset or set on alarm,it just comes on all by itself usually it happens when im up late at night im freaked out! sometimes it even happens at the same time each night.weird???????

Has anyone you know died recently, and by recently I mean in the past year or two? This happened to me when my uncle died in front of me almost two years ago. It happened to everyone, actually. For my mother and brother, the TV in his room and the TV in the kitchen kept going on and off by themselves a few times per day. At the time of his death, the stove in my house turns itself off and it seems like the electricity has shorted out. That calmed down until my good friend died on October 15th from Brain Cancer. Since she died, at the exact time she died, my receiver for my satellite turns itself off. It's never the TV, always the receiver. I've had both items checked out, and nothing is wrong with them. I've had the electrical system of the house checked out. Nothing wrong with that either. I remember watching this thing, I forget the name of it, but the group name is TAPS. They are critics and won't call a haunting a haunting unless it is. They will admit there is paranormal activity. According to them, the deceased like to mess around with electrical appliances for communication, sort of like saying "Hey, I'm here, and I'm watching you". Sounds nuts, I know, I'm only relating what I saw.

How old is the TV?
Sometimes old sets have slightly wierd wiring, that goes weird when they get old and the right wires contact themselves at strange times.

Could be static electricity... some type of electrical discharge... but this could be related to a jinn being present in your house. You may need to tell it to go away.
