The same reason God will save people from death.....it's just not their time. There's a reason. Maybe it wasn't the baby's time to come into the world yet. There is a plan for the baby beyond our comprehension.

God doesn't kill innocent babies. If a baby dies before it is born, there is a reason and only God knows that reason. If a baby is aborted, it is not God, it is the person who had it done. Some babies probably die because the parents are not mature enough or do not want the child and God knows us from the time we are born. He knows everything about us and he knows if we will be good parents or this child is only going to live a short time and he makes it easier on some people to take that little baby and you then can have another child when the time is right. You have to understand that some people just could not raise a child if something was wrong with it and I truly believe that God know who can an cannot do this.

If God were to take a baby to live in paradise with Him, it would be from love and mercy.
We need to yell at those who kill babies who should have been born and were aborted.
If you have suffered the loss of a baby, I have to, and I take comfort in knowing they are complete and healthy in Heaven, and I will see them, all 4 of them, there.
Killing is a sin. God does not sin. He is the giver and taker of life. He knows so much more than we do. He wouldn't take any baby without absolute reason. And sometimes it is just this faulty flesh we live in. It doesn't always do what it is supposed to do because we live in a fallen world. Who are we to say what a lifetime is? I have known people who lost a child, and in that short life, that child touched more lives than someone who live 80 years. All of our days are numbered, even if the number is only 1.

Have you ever heard the song "Held" By Natalie Grant?

When has God killed a baby? I had two miscarriages I did not see where God was to fault in them. I was 15 had no business having sex anyway, my body was not developed enough to carry a baby, and I had no means to support one at the time. The second was more of the same. Now did God do that? Or did I make the choices and do it to myself? God Bless and everything that goes wrong in life is not God's fault. However all things good and bad work out for the goodness and glory of God. If not for those two miscarriages and losing the scientific ability to have children according to man. I would not have the ability to share the message of God's healing power and the way he has blessed me with two beautiful babies. So in a way what I let sin take from me by fornication God gave back to me by his grace, mercy, and my faith. God Bless you....

Holy smokes!! why do others read what isn't there? You never mentioned abortion.

rhsaunder, I proved you wrong. My belief in God is not useless.

Lots of stuff to think about here. I, personally, believe God does nothing without good reason. If there is a God, do you believe God is Love? Perfect? Even if you are not sure, you do not need to believe or disbelieve anything. For me to try to describe God further would be limiting God. Is it a given that all people are wrong at times? Just because many believe the same thing does not make them right. Far as I am concerned, if God is perfect, the Bible cannot be God's word because it is imperfect, just as all literature is. Also consider that narrow definitions of God create all wars (Wealth is a god for many people)

You are searching for spiritual knowledge. The opinions of others & their writings can be very helpful in that search as long as you keep in mind it is not all truth. My faith must come from myself, not others. My search leads to a set of beliefs. Without that search & set of beliefs, how can I have faith? If I try to push my set of beliefs on you, it only means I am trying to convince myself. If I say my truth is the only one, I am saying I am God, for only God is perfect Because I am not perfect, most of what I believe could be wrong, including God does nothing by mistake. Right or wrong, it works for me, or so I believe.
I wish you well in your search. It is a difficult journey, but a very worthwile one.

Dear,
the belief in Allah incurs the belief that He Knows best and He is the Most Merciful. Somethings in life sometimes seem cruel and unexplainable, like the death of babies. However, a true believer has to accept the destiny of Allah and believe that things happen for a reason. It could be creul on the inside but merciful on the inside.

It could be that this child would have been a curse in the future rather than a blessing, or you could be attached to it to the extent that it diverts you from worship or that Allah wants to test your belief or in the best way, a path to heaven. Infants and babies that die take your hand to heaven if you accept and take your destiny patiently.

Sometimes everything in life is going so well and ones feels so in control of everything and start feeling conceited and something that hard needs to happen to shake you and reminds you who you really are.

I hope this helps.

Allah knows best after all

Peace

Major assumption you start with and then run right into a wall with it.

You have to look at the value of things from God's perspective not your own. You are making the same mistake that P.E.T.A. makes it its fight to save animals that are food for us, or pets. (another subject and enough said on it here)

God made man to live eternally. man corrupted himself (and in so doing, all future generations) with disobedience and caused all the problems we now face.
God's is HOLY, completely HOLY! ANY iniquity damns us and our flesh is not even a concern (to us, yes, but God see a much bigger picture than we) God tried, with Pharaoh to motivate him in many ways and many times until God had enough. The deaths of those children (I assume you are thinking about this account, as you did not mention exactly what instance you mean), was eventually going to happen and that group was outside of the people made a covenant with. these people were enemies to God and would always be so.
God states:
"My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts" and "I will have mercy on those I will and not on those I will not"
No man has a right to say to Him, "what did you do and why did you do it?!"
This is explained in the Bible thusly:
does a piece of pottery ask the potter, "why have you made me like this?" Some pottery was made to crap in and some to drink out of, because it please the potter to do it that way.
We are here at God's whim and for His pleasure and the freedom we are given inside that creation is all we can expect!
God is both Holy and Right, no matter what he does!
Anyone who doesn't get that is the one with the wrong perspective, no matter how logical and right he/she thinks he/she might be.

Here's a beautiful prayer of sorts from Mother Angelica.
Hope it helps to understand.
*****************************************
My Lord, the baby is dead!
Why, my Lord—dare I ask why? It will not hear the whisper of the wind or see the beauty of its parents’ face—it will not see the beauty of Your creation or the flame of a sunrise. Why, my Lord?

“Why, My child—do you ask ‘why’? Well, I will tell you why.

You see, the child lives. Instead of the wind he hears the sound of angels singing before My throne. Instead of the beauty that passes he sees everlasting Beauty—he sees My face. He was created and lived a short time so the image of his parents imprinted on his face may stand before Me as their personal intercessor. He knows secrets of heaven unknown to men on earth. He laughs with a special joy that only the innocent possess. My ways are not the ways of man. I create for My Kingdom and each creature fills a place in that Kingdom that could not be filled by another. He was created for My joy and his parents’ merits. He has never seen pain or sin. He has never felt hunger or pain. I breathed a soul into a seed, made it grow and called it forth.”

I am humbled before you, my Lord, for questioning Your wisdom, goodness, and love. I speak as a fool—forgive me. I acknowledge Your sovereign rights over life and death. I thank You for the life that began for so short a time to enjoy so long an Eternity. -- Mother M. Angelica

God is being merciful. The way that our world is today, it is not a safe place for children. They are a lot better off in the arms of Jesus that in this sick world.
