I've had a headache for three days, thought it was heat stroke at first, had nausea & vomiting, then I thought my neck was out & went to the chiropractor.
Will go to the doctor tomorrow, (too late now) but is there anything I can do to help the pain? Panodol won't help! Pain is at the top of my neck, & also across my forehead...

This may sound a bit weird, but go and masturbate. Told you it would be weird. It's been scientifically proven that masturbation is great for relieving headaches and migraines. That's right ladies, you can't use headaches as an excuse anymore ;) Also, if you have Bach's Rescue Remedy, drip a few drops on your crown and massage it in gently. Have a shower and gently massage your scalp using small, slow, circular motions. Massage the back of your scalp, the front and also the sides, gently starting at the temples and working your way up. Do this several times. Good Luck. Don't always rely on drugs and conventional treatments.

Ask Mom for temporary headache pills. There's a pressure point between your thumb & forefinger, back in the soft web between them: pinch with your other thumb & forefinger, HOLD for 7 seconds & release. Repeat three times. Getting more even sleep-periods will be helpful as will not too thick a pillow. Do not exercise after 3PM. Kool computer/TV time; look away every 20 minutes. If 7-10 days of self-treatment don't help, time to see a Nurse Practitioner or doctor.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Try some warm compresses where your neck hurts. Also, just relax and try to rest until you get to the Dr. Headaches can be caused by high blood pressure and an infection in the body so keep these things in mind. But if your neck is hurting it's more than likely related to your neck. I know I get horrible migraines from neck pain and get nauseated and hot when it happens.

I have suffered from migraines for years, and when I was pregnant I could not take anything for the pain but panodol. I used to take two panodols then I put an ice pack alternating between my eyes and back of the neck. Just don't leave it on one spot for more than ten minutes. This really does work, I hope you feel better.

Go to the doctor IMMEADIATELY.

This is not to scare you...but it could be a potentially dangerous condition called meningitis - where your meninges become inflamed. The reason I say this is that your neck pain combined with a severe headache ARE tell-tale symptoms - but this is of course not a valid diagnosis as I am only an EMT. Especially if you find you are unable to touch your chin to your neck get it checked out ASAP.

I hope you feel better.

It could be a virus or other infection. It's hard to say. I have tried lavender oil in olive oil and rub it on my head and neck. That has worked when nothing else has. Have you tried hot or cold? Usually one is good and the other not.

The other guy is not talking ****, sex in general has been proven to help with pain management because it releases all those endorphins, basically anything that releases endorphins will help.
