Very smart child. I've had kindergarten students who can't recognize primary colors and don't count because their parent's concerns are others.
she is lucky to have you as her parent. You seem to be very involved. Take her to a library, to museums, buy her lots of books.

Good job parent! She sounds normal to me. My son was singing the alphabet song, knew his colors and was counting to 10 around the same time (2 years). His teacher says he's no different than any of the other kids now, he's 7.

It just means that you are being a good parent. When children/babies learn at early ages it is a sign of security and that the parent is satisfying the needs of the child. God is doing this, not you so do not get the big head. keep up the good work and if you have friends with children who are having problems in school, share your love and attempt to teach them. You can help others as you are helping your child.

She sounds like a cutie- and smart- but you are doing a good job in getting her ready for preschool at 3 1/2. The big question is she potty trained? out of diapers? That is an accomplishment that at her age, she should've accomplished at least by 14 months. That is a true sign of intelligence because they can respond to a need and act accordingly ( my both daughters were potty trained and out of diapers by 11 months and my oldest daughter at the age of 2 was making toast on her own........

I'd say normal. my daughter is about the same age and she knows most colors in two languages and can count to 20 in english, 10 in spanish, sing a couple of songs (including ABC) etc. GOOD JOB AS A PARENT , though..this means you must be stimulating her a lot

Normal.
All kids develop at different paces and in different areas at different times. It's hard to compare between them. Your daughter may be a whiz at colors and alphabet and yet another kid may be doing better at things like music and physical skills.
I know its hard (as the mother of a 3 year old) but try not to always compare her to others. You may end up pushing her, even unconsciously. I just try to keep myself focused on my son's personal progression.
If he can't do something another kid in his preschool class can do, I hope that he can watch them and learn (or teach others if he's more advanced in an area). And I'm going to do my best not to measure him against my progress as well because I don't want to push him or be disappointed because he didn't read at 3 like I did.

Children's brains develop most before age two. The more a child is worked with the more smarter they seem. Your daughter sounds normal for her age, and you are doing a great job. What you may not know is that most children will not retain this information unless it is continual through age 5.

shes doing just fine, keep up the good work, kids learn more in their first three years than they can learn the rest of their lives so keep offering your little sponge stimulation. try a bilingual program, leap frog has one with a little frog person who says things in english and spanish.
