It ain't the camera, it's the photographer!

This question could be asked of any camera in existence and the answer would be the same.

First, get a beginner's book on photography. Learn what the terms mean and what different settings do and how they affect your photo.

While you're at it, get a book on art. Learn composition and lighting. Many photography books will cover this subject as well.

Then, read your camera's manual!!!! This is very important.

Finally, practice, practice, practice! Pay attention to your composition and camera settings. Watch the light around you and compose accordingly. See what works and what doesn't.

Don't forget to have fun!

It is not the camera but person behind it who makes a good photograph. Go out and practice that will help you. Initially you can get some basic book to help you out with compositions and other asthetic features and guide you to take good shots. Happy clicking.

Yea, Practice, Practice, Practice. Practice makes perfect. And since it is digital, it doesn't cost you anything to shoot. For some guideline on the basic, visit http://www.dpreview.com/learn .
