I have a 3-4 weeks old German Shepherd puppy. And her Ears are floppy. I saw a grown German shepherd he has straight ears standing. It would look not so good with floppy ears. when she grows.

At 3 to 4 weeks old the ears are not up and it can take up to 8 months depending on how heavy boned the dog is. In some puppies the ears go up then fall and then go back up sometimes one goes up but not the other, my favorite is when they go up and then the ears lie on the pups head and with some pups they go up and stay up. Do not worry about it now if they are not standing right now. If they have not started going up by 5 to 6 months talk to your vet or the breeder about taping the ears.
By the way why do you have a 3to 4 week old pup? That is way too young for the pup to have been taken from the mother you should not have this pup until it is 8 weeks old.

I had a Shepherd who had 13 puppies and their ears were all floppy intil they were about 12-14 weeks old. Don't worry. The ears will stand soon.

1. German Shepherds NEVER have cropped ears. They are naturally erect in that breed.

2. Putting duct tape on your dog's ears is a good way to get them to rot off. Don't do it.

3. GSDs almost never need to have their ears taped in order to stand. And we don't implant little sticks in them, either. They almost always will stand on their own...when they're older. They start out floppy, will go up and down through teething, and usually stay up by 6-7 months of age.

4. What on Earth are you doing with a puppy so young away from its mother??!!!! 3-4 weeks is MUCH too young.

It's natural for German Shepherd puppies to have floppy ears. Don't do anything. Her ears will stand when she gets older. King was four months old before his ears stood up straight.

the puppies ears will eventually go straight... it has nothing to do with cropping... my akitas ears were very floppy when she was little but now they are straight as an arrow... puppies are like that... they have to grow into their body... they have big feet, ears, heads, tails you know you just gotta give the poor thing a chance to grow up.. I had big ears when I was a kid and my parents didnt crop my ears .. lol

German Shepherds can take up to 6 months for their ears to stand up. I have photos of my fathers Shepherd when she was 6 months old with one ear up and one ear down. THey didnt think her other ear was ever going to stand up, But it eventually did. It just takes time

I bought my fox terrier puppy when she was 8 weeks and she had floppy ears. Now that she is 7 months, her ears are now completely standing up. It takes awhile for their ears to stand up.

She's just a baby they will stand up in time! It's going to take a while for her ears to stand up on there own! Specially for a pup that's 4 weeks old! Most breeders will wait till they are 8 weeks before selling them. Extra advice if you wish: If you want try adding milk supplement to her food. It will help her get all the nutrition she needs since she is so young.

I think its normal since she is still 4 wks old. My dog took 4 months for his ears to stand completely. Just let some time to go by and eventually they will stand. Good luck!

Take duct tape and wrap around the puppy's ears. Make sure it goes from ear to ear, do not wrap each ear separately. It is the same way to make boxer dogs ears stand up.
