Guys..what do hugs mean to you?? What about side poking and shoulder grabbing and back touching??
Do they mean anything and would a guy do all this and not be interested?? Thanks!
Also..guys do you like hugs? Do you like to initiate them with all your friends that are girls, or only girls you are interested in and is there a difference between a side hug and a full on frontal hug?

Ahhh, human physiological behavior! Ok, Well, yes guys hug. Its normal. The back touching depends on what level. Is this a brief quick touch, or is it long and delayed?
I take it you are getting some strange vibes going on. Trust your instinct. Here are the parameters in the US for touching: A hug, if brief and from the side can be nothing other than a greeting. But if a person happens to hug you with a gentle embrace and for a more extended period, there can be more to it. Shoulder grabbing is a sign of wishing for your attention to be redirected to the person that is touching you. Back touching can be alittle more intimate, depending on the environment you were approached in. If at work, it may be the only exposed part for a quick recognition, but if the person walks up and places there hand anywhere below the shoulder blades for more than a brief second, there is more of an unspoken interest. Side poking, is a friendly gesture of flirtacious behavior.
I will walk out on a limb, and say you have probably experienced all of this from one person, and I can say that yes, this person has a strong interest in you, and more than on a "just friends" level.

i personally wouldn't do those things if i wasn't interested in a girl...again personally i like hugs idk who doesn't...and yes there could be a difference between a side hug and a full frontal hug depending on how long you've known him and how long you've been friends if he likes you and is an outgoing type guy he would give you a full frontal hug if hes the shy type then the side hug might mean something this all depends on the type of relationship you two have
