I have 3 girls 2, 5 and nearly 8. They all love make up like lip gloss, bathroom soaps and body washes, books (especially stories on fairys, princesses and horses) They love music and dancing, so cd's and dance dvd's. They are into crafts too, like making scrap books, painting little pots and planting flowers in them. Making jewelery
I just bought my daughter a book called The show girl princess, by the singer Kylie Minogue. My daughter loves it, she is a dreamer and loves to pretend she is a princess.

Any good gift idea for a 6 year old girl?
She isnt really into dolls, and i have done the dvd thing and clothes in the past - an original idea would be great.

I like to give art and crafty kind of things for gifts. My kids love that kind of stuff. My daughter also loves her Easy Bake Oven. Lots of fun there. My kids are totally into books too. Legos make a great gift. Give her a gift certificate to Build a Bear. She might not like dolls but I have not met a kid that doesn't love that store. Give her cash. Kids love to go to the store and buy things. I hope these help you.

get her some board games that she can play. maybe a nickolendon character type game. i am a woman but when i was her age i was into GI joes and boy things like that. maybe a baseball or even hockey gear you both can go outside go on th side walk since she is too young to play in the streetand play street hockey with each other get a net on end of the side walk and just play it. push the the puck back and forth to each other. That might bring up a passion she did not know she had.
GOOD LUCK

I like the idea of the easel...I brought on for my 6-yr old niece. It was a paint easel come white/magnetic board.
If you don't like that idea, why not buy her a simple film camera. Kids that age love taking photos, or at least I have found, and it may even provoke and interest in photography for her.

I have a 7 year old who is not into dolls too. She likes to dress up though. This year I am getting her a vanity for her room, with some play make-up. Also an easy bake oven with some baking supplies.

I thought I was the only one with this problem. My daughter just turned 7 and she has never been into toys. Last year for her birthday I took her to the nail salon and had her nails painted, she choose the polish, they treated her like an adult. She got to pay her bill and give the tip. When she went to school and everyone ask her what she got for her birthday the only thing she told about was her trip to the "Nail stylist" as she calls her. When Christmas came the only thing she ask for was a trip to the nail salon. Hope this helps, good luck.

Give her a couple of disposable cameras and a small scrapbook kit. All little kids like to take pictures. The whole family can pose for the pics and waiting to get them developed will only spur her interest even more.

if she's not into dolls(which i think is great :) ) then give her a present any kind of sports thing - a ball, skaters, a bike, a trampoline would be very cool.
and if u fell she's better enjoy ARt - give her smth she could draw, paint, crate with, like do the handicrafts, etc.
Being 6 is so cool! :))

Try taking her to a play or museum, make a day of it, treat her like a little adult and let her make her own decisions(she gets to decide her meal choice, etc.)
Or take her to a tea house, and have a "tea party"
Or take her to a "Glamor Shots" type place where she can do the dress up thing and get pictures of how great she looked. Its fun for her.
Or take her to a paint your own pottery place, and let her do that with you. Fun, and she gets something to remind her of the time you spent with her.
