No WAY this question should be removed - what other forum would you EVER get a chance to ask it?
Glad to know I've been doing it pretty much the same way everyone else does - just more natural. But I don't use the moist wipes though. Maybe I should...

Definitely front to back -- less hair in the back, I think, to get things tangled up in.
But, I was just reading a book called Beauty Feng Shui that said the *best* way is to wipe and take a shower. They go into great detail, that I won't describe here.
But, believe it or not, in Japan many of the toilets have a shower already attached to the toilet seat. There are two settings -- shower (for wiping) and bidet. Many of the finer department stores even have these, although I feel it is a bit unsanitary to use a public toilet's shower. My family uses the one at home, though, whenever the need arises. And it is a nice feature.

Ok... I'm not a guy, but I'll try to help anyway.
As far as wiping.... definitely front to back. You don't want to get any of the yucky stuff from the back in the front area. That could cause infections. Now, when it comes to standing up or sitting down... that is completely your call! Good luck and Happy Wiping!

Take the paper and roll it into a pad around your hand. This is less messy than if you just wad it up before wiping.
Wipe from front to rear, being careful to get deeply into the little nooks down there around the anus.
After I wipe, I also take a second bunch of paper, wet it in the sink, and clean up down there with that. It's always a surprise how much extra stuff I wipe up with the wet paper, even after I have thoroughly cleaned from the first wipe.
If it's hairy down there, it's harder to keep clean. I shave down there, and it's much easier to get it clean.

I don't know about men, but for women the most hygienic method is front to back. no idea why this would be removed, I've wondered about it before I found out...

Regardless if you are a men or woman is always safer to clean front to back. Avoid bacteria getting into your urethra.

If you're at home, wash your bottom. If you are outside, wipe front to back.

I don't know of any other way to wipe. You might find a way to make a fortune by inventing an electric a** wiper.

and please ...everyone should use a moist "baby wipe" type product too. Not just nasty, old, rough, dry toilet paper.
