GH or growth hormone. This is used on growing teenagers who are medically supervised because they have a condition. After it is determined whether you have stopped growing alltogether by a doctor, any further growth will not happen. There is a drastic surgery being performed in foreign countries called a leg legthening procedure. This is where they break both your legs and insert a 1-2 inch artificial or natural bone graft in between the break. Voila, you gain 1-2 inches of height.
More often than not, your perception has tricked you into believing they are taller. They may have matured more, socially or personally, and as a result, they have more confidence. You perceive this as an increase in height.

Some people are still growing. Quite simple.

Lifts in shoes, high heals, and stilts can make someone look taller, but only while using them.

Leg bones can be broken and pinned slightly apart so they will grow together, little by little.... over and over.... until you reach the height you want. This is very expensive and time consuming, not to mention the pain levels involved. I do not recommend trying this at home! LOL

Best Wishes,

Sue

Maybe they lost weight? Or you just remember them different.

There is a medical procedure to lengthen bones. The bone(s) to be lengthened are broken, then attached to a metal rod. The rod has a screw that is given, like, a 1/4 turn twice a day. Each turn separates the bone a little bit, and the natural healing process fills in the gap. When the desired length is achieved, the rods are removed, and viola - the patient is taller!

I stopped growing at 12. Im a small person. I have long been at ease with this.

I remember hoping to grow.

Sad mostly.

Like who you Are, not how tall you are.
