It's like every time me and her get together, there is this palpable silence when we're about to go our seperate ways. We have/had (I really don't know where we're even at right now) dated for 6 mos. But every single time we're about to hang up or go home, it's like she's waiting for me to say something more, deeper. We love each other for sure and have been able to tell each other (and show each other) in the past, but she wanted time for herself and still texts me all the time, and these silences...What is she waiting to hear me tell her? Again, these awkward silences didn't start until she told me she needed to be on her own (which was fine for 18 hours until she started texting me about a hundred times that weekend).

When in doubt, talk to her about it. Something in her mind is causing this, and it's important enough to you that it's bothering you. This will continue to twist in your thoughts until things get even more awkward. Unless you wish for that to happen, I suggest you speak with her.

And remember, sometimes the greatest part of a conversation happens after the point that you want to stop it. We all filter ourselves out because we're nervous about how what we say will be heard. But, sometimes it's those very things that need to be heard most.

Well she obviously wants you to say I love you but....

You should also tell her that you want to mean it with all of your heart when you say it. And that those three words mean a lot to you too. When you tell her it will mean that much more because she knows that you really mean it.
