Not scientifically proven and probably never will be. Unfortunately, it's now a political issue and politicians/special interests are trying to portray it as a science issue. This all began with a desk scientist writing a white paper at the National Academies of Science (a quasi-governmental group) and eco-politicians took over. Recently, we've heard that "the debate is over because all scientists agree" but that's not true. (The reality is that all scientists never agree on anything. I know one who does not believe in isotopes!)
Despite what the consultant above has written, the phenomena described can all be explained without Global Warming being factual so it means nothing scientifically. I hate to be cynical but this has all the earmarks of another prefab scare. We've seen it before in all the pseudoscientific stuff that has leapfrogged over the peer-review system that scientists have set up to catch this stuff. In the past, we've had Malthusians go wild with food and resources running out by 2000, a still-alive-but-twitching endocrine-disruption scare, planetary collision scares, etc. We've also had Cold Fusion which turned out to be a laugh riot.
Don't get your science from TV or self-serving politicians. (Al Gore will remain nameless in this diatribe.) My advice to you is to enjoy your life and don't worry about any of the scares until they're backed up with fact.

Your summing up describes surprisingly plenty what's taking place. almost each and all of the international warming that occurs is organic, without it the planet could be so chilly that it can be a ball of ice and not something could ever have progressed. people are contributing a small volume. at the same time because it extremely is small it extremely is important, the climate is an exceedingly soft gadget and it would not take plenty to disillusioned it. As with maximum issues in nature, there's a soft stability. what's taking place because of the fact the onset of industrialisation is that our events have produced countless greenhouse gases inclusive of carbon dioxide. those are the comparable gases that save the planet certainly heat. Our emissions have outfitted up interior the ambience and there is now plenty extra of those gases than there was, subsequently extra warmth is being retained and the planet is warming up. so far the upward thrust in temperatures has been extremely small even if it extremely is accelerating and could proceed to realize this. The technological expertise of world warming dictates that the emissions we produce on the instant will carry around interior the ambience and save including to international warming for the subsequent eighty 5 years - so it extremely is not a venture we are able to extremely make circulate away. you're precise of direction related to the ice a protracted time interior the previous. there have been countless them and that they have been led to by utilising organic cycles which the planet is going with the aid of. on the 2d the situation of Earth interior those cycles is such that the planet could be cooling ever so extremely. i've got no longer long gone into element with my answer, in case you choose for the numbers of extra particular motives then i could be happy to grant them for you - only upload a remark or e mail me.

Though unclear of the question.... i can understand that is the role of an individual efforts and measurements in minimising the global warming...
As my part.. my heart always looks for some activity to take up to help thic lethal problem thought out the world. It is alarming the world. I myself experienced the result of this global warming.
So as part my responsibility... My heart has discovered that the Greenry and water are the antidote for the all the evils being caused by the scientic adventures. So i have aimed my life to establish Green filled society by means of the massive vegetation.. I have aimed my life to do this. As part of this i have adopted BACK YARD HORTICULTURE, KITCHEN GARDEN PROGRAMME, AVENUE PLANTATION, VILLAGE BEAUTIFICATION, MASS VEGETATION, AGROFORESTRY..ETC. I dont like theories... I would like to live with practicallity.. So practically i am doing it. And i am spreading my message to the world.. my messsage is " Greenery and water are the antidote to all the evils of this sick world... Adopt Greenery for peace, friendship and timely rains.." Greenery alleviates the globla warming.. And at the same time i am making aware on the utility of Solar Energy.
Thanks to answer your question.

CO2 is a very minor greenhouse gas. Currently, the atmosphere contain 0.38% of CO2, so it not a big factor in any warming. Mars atmosphere 95.72% and does not help it retain heat. The number one greenhouse gas is water-vapor which mars lacks. Water has this amazing characteristics of keeping the earth temperature in a check. I would be more concern that the world's temperature goes down 0.5c than go up a degree. The bigger problem environmental problems is man made pollution that does not break down, bad farming practices and poor water conservation. But hollywood does not like making movies about that.

it is a serious problem w/c all countries in the world should unite to solve it. If global warming continues all countries will be affected and we might have a dramatic climactic shift.

in North Africa,India,Mexico ,millions of people are effected by land loss and desertification
in recent times thousands of people have died because of exessive heat, usually old people.in India ,Mexico and France,
deforestation causing desertification, the desert conditions causing very cold nights and scorching hot days
in china, thousands of what used to be farmers are running for their lives from the dust storms that have burried their towns and turned their lands into dessert, the globe where they were got to hot for them .
and instead of producing food they are now needing it from some where else, and they will drastically effect the world food prices when they start buying water in the form of grains ,at any cost destabalising governments, in some countries ,could be the result
(are you seeing more Chinese around interested in agricultural lands ,we do here in Mexico)
this was man made global warming because of over grazing and fertilizers, and they are not the only ones
collectively this planet is drying up ,the Sahara is growing by 7 kilometers a year
and all of the desserts we know are a results of mans actions ,and they are increasing ,not getting less ,in the dinosaurs days ,there were no desserts.
so as far as the food production is concerned Global warming or some of its effects are serious, rising seas result in landloss
each degree rise in temperature means 10%crop loss
more landloss because of desertification every year,we have less areble land to produce food ,for an extra 70 million people ,
and there is less and less water (because of deforestation),to irrigate this production ,
and there are less and less farmers to do it..
who are overpumping deep carbon aquifiers
who are plowing more and more unstable lands because they have lost so many million hectares to desertification ,
because of bad farming practises ,such as using fertilizers and heavy machinary or over grazing
RISING SEAS
The northpole is melting ,and we will know it without ice in our life times.
this does not affect the sea level because it is ice that is already in the water.but the melting ice from Green land and the south pole ,are another matter.
Global warming is in theory reversable, but it will mean global co operation between all countries ,and taking into account human nature and the world politics ,it is unlikely that this will happen,
At least not untill we are all in the middle of planetary disastres and it becomes a battle for the survival of humanity every where.
SOLUTIONS
if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to reverse the destructive processes
reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.
the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
the protection of existing forrests.
stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´populaion
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine
recicling wastes,limit water use
