For the past three days now I've had a constant headache that won't go away and I've tried Aspirin and Advil and it doesn't seem to go away. I've tried falling asleep and it still won't go away because I find myself with a headache when I wake up. The pain isn't necessarily "killing me" to a point where it is unbearable, but it does indeed hurt and it's very uncomfortable that I've been constantly feeling like this. Any suggestions on how to cure it or any remedies you might know of? Please help and Thanks.

Headaches are the most common of the clinical complaints and it is a symptom of a disease rather than being a disease itself.

You will need to make a note of the following before visiting your physician the next time:

Number of attacks
Length of time per attack
Pain characteristics (like throbbing, pricking etc)
Part where it pains (one sided, or near the temples or in the front or the back)
Accompanying symptoms (like vomiting, or nausea or seeing bright spots in front of the eyes)

Headaches have a wide variety of causes, ranging from eyestrain, sinusitis and tension and migraine (one sided headache) to life-threatening conditions such as encephalitis, meningitis, cerebral aneurysms and brain tumors.

When the headache occurs in conjunction with a head injury the cause is usually quite evident; however, many causes are more unclear.

The most common type of headache is a tension headache. The other commonest type of headache is due to dehydration. The body gets dehydrated whenever you arent consuming enough of fluids. So an adequate intake of fluids is necessary. Usually about 2-3 liters of water apart from your meal times is the right amount to consume water.

Excess of coffee too can cause headache because of a condition called as caffeine withdrawal, so limit your intake of tea or coffee to about 2 times a day.

Treatment of uncomplicated headache is usually symptomatic with over-the-counter painkillers such as paracetamol but if it is going to be something like a migraine, then you will need specialised medicines.

You might need certain basic blood tests and if they are normal possibly a CT scan of the head to rule out any underlying pathology and for this you might need to contact your GP.

I think you need to see a physician right away.
I say that because I know of three people who experienced an aneurysm. Sadly, only one survived it.
But one of the similar experiences before hand was a constant headache. The lady I know who survived it was taking over the counter headache medicine but the headache remained.

The doctor will be able to ask questions, assess your overall health and determine why you are experiencing them. Please do not delay. See a doctor immediately!

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

My suggestion to you is to go see a doctor immediately. In fact you should go straight to the emergency room of the nearest hospital. Just what are you waiting for? Go have this checked out to make sure that there is nothing seriously wrong. When you see you have a pain and nothing seems to be able to relieve the pain, something's not right. Definitely Your blood pressure needs to be checked out among other things. Please do this now!

Go to the dr. tell them what is going on. It might not be a normal head ach. I do this with my super bad one. They give me a shot and it make me dizzy and sleepy. It will kick that pain. Also try a cold cloth above the eyes, helps to relax the muscles and nerves. Good luck and feel better.

Sounds like a migraine. Go to urgent care and let them give you something to get rid of it.
