You should be your own best friend. There is only person in this world who can make you happy...yourself. Really, as corny as it sounds, happiness doesn't come from being with someone or having someone or the way that someone treats you...its about how you look at life. You have to live this life and if you want to live it crying or laughing...you still have to live it so why not laugh along with it. Try to make new friends, reconnect to your old friends, get some new hobbies, join a club, read good books, listen to great music, travel, get out there and take life by the horns...you're young and healthy and active...there are many people who are sick and dying and who'd give anything to be in your place so thank fate and don't feel sorry for yourself.

I think that you should let everything fall into place, not everyone who is in a relationship is happy, or will be in a long-term relationship with their current partner. I would suggest you going out more, socialize, meet new people, you just might happen to bump into your future spouse. Love is great, but waiting on it will just make you lonely, sad, and depressed, especially watching others who are in love. I say, get out there, experience life and let the unexpected HAPPEN, and you will see at the end that your Patience was all worth it!!
Hope this Helps!!!!

Heh, wow, exactly the same boat I was in. I eventually stopped focusing on the lonely factor and just started concentrating on myself. I had to literally FORCE myself to get moving sometimes, but I just kept doing it. I started working out, joining up with clubs/groups that I was interested in.
Next thing you knew, I was feeling better. My confidence was up, I was learning new things, meeting new people, and before I knew it, all that loneliness, hurt, and sadness were gone. Replaced by friends, fun, and happiness.
Its tough work, mate, but just keep going forward. You can do it!
