Does hatred eventually kill the giver as well the reciever? What stress does the emotion, hatred, put on the cardiovascular system? Is a hateful person more prone to disease and pre-mature death than others?

The effects are drastic and can also be deadly. It wears down on the heart and mind until neither can function at full capacity. The mind usually gives out before the heart, but the rest of the body will show the effects outwardly usually within a year or two, maybe a little longer for those lacking in love already.

There is a marvellous book by Louise Hay called You Can Heal Your Life and it talks directly to the negative affects of hate, fear, resentment, guilt.

Hatred will kill the hater faster than the hated. The heart is a center for joy, as joy is squeezed from a life the heart labors. Absolutely a hateful person is more prone to disease etc. I have seen it in my life and the life of others countless times.

What's more, Louise's book can tell you the emotional "cause" of just about every health problem and has it all listed in the book. Check it out:

There is a definitive, proven, documented mind-body connection. So yes, hate is as bad for the person who hates than it is for the receiver, as you are putting out something you *know* will hurt someone, and that causes a reaction within you. Hateful people do have a shorter life span- but no one seems to mind that much.

Yeah, long time hate shows itself on a persons face, but no, hate has no effect on the receiver, unless there is an action associated with that hate. Then it is the action that causes harm, not hate. As to premature death, hate makes one blind to many things most often the way to long life.

Hate is one of the strongest emotions, if not THE strongest emotion. Hate is stronger than love, and most of us know how stong love is. I believe that hate will eventually kill someone. Unless hate is vented off, it will build inside a person until they snap and kill the person or thing that they hate, or kill themselves to escape from what they hate. Hate increases your heart rate and in turn shortens the life of your heart...But it wouldn't matter if we all died tommorow. Why did you put this in religion and spirituality?

To hate produces death for the person hating. It does all kinds of damage to the human body.,that is why it is good to love your enemies, and harbour no ill feelings.

stress does cause people to get sick, have less energy and die young. hate causes stress on people right. instead by at peace with everyone as much as it is within you.
