I am looking to purchase a new car and I have a $60K budget.

Call me shallow, but I am looking for a car that girls will like. I'm 18 years old if age makes any difference at all.

I have my own internet business for those who are wondering how I have $60K to spend on a car.

Thank you for the answers so far!

Buy a used Ford, and invest the rest of the money.

The girls you really want to know will be more impressed by that than by a metal and plastic substitute for manliness.

Porsche Cayman - Beautiful, handles, well built and while not ultimately as fast as a Vette, has a much nicer interior and is probably a better daily driver.

BMW 335i - Twin turbo V6 that runs with the current M3, rides a lot nicer, and is not a peaky powerwise. Good daily driver, and still gets to 60 in under 5 seconds. Not quite the handler, but still very good.

Chrysler 300C SRT8 - about 40k as opposed to 60k. Not as nice on the interior. Not quite the prestige. Could spend your bucks on a new grille and some interior work and have a 425hp V8 that looks cool and will seat a few more hot girls in it.

Cadillac CTS-v - Vette engine - decent prestige - interior only so-so for 50k car

The German cars easily have the refinement and prestige. The American cars are comparative bargains, but lack the refinement and name dropping prestige.

Looks - Porsche
Need to seat more than 2 - BMW
pocket a few grand and still look good - Cadillac
pocket 20k and buy a Harley - Chrysler

Buy an Lancer Evo MR nice car all around, I hear they're planning to discontinue it for 2 years before introducing the M10 and then you have about 20k left to invest on either fixing it up or other financial matters, although I recommend that you consider Insurance costs, since your age and type of car will determine your insurance rates.

STAY AWAY from Mercedes. They suck. I say this only because between my siblings and I we have had a 2004 c240, a 2006 cls500 and a 2007 ml350. ALL three have had tranny problems. It felt like the CLS spent more time in its first 8000 miles in the shop than it did with me. fyi.....Keeping in mind we paid almost $100,000 for it and bought it brand new. First one the dealer got too. The ml350 is at the point where state law says its a lemon if one more problem appears.

I wouldn't count on the success of your internet business. Your lifestyle could change dramatically within a year. I would suggest a $30,000 cap on a car and banking or investing the rest. Most girls don't know the difference b/t a $30,000 car and a $50,000 one anyway.

I must agree with the other person, How can you have $60,000 to waste on a car at the age of 18 and not even know anything about buying...especially if you claim to own a business....First step, do your own research before coming to others.

Just buy a muscle car like a mustang and get it over with! Be sure to make it loud to attract all sorts of attention... make it even louder to set off all the car alarms in the neighborhood!

How the [bleep] did an 18-year old get that kind of money for a car? When I was 18 I could barely afford gas for my clunker. Which NBA team do you play for?
