I've noticed alot of Christian people around in my area that get married super young...like around 19 or 20. Personally I don't want to get married until I'm alot older and certain that I have found the right person. Why do they get married so young? I honestly think it's so they can start having sex lol.

Personally, I think living in sin is fun!

Chdoctor, I'm just going by what I notice in my area. I see MANY of the Christians getting married super young..like around 20. They will even get married to a person that they have only known for about 8 months. Maybe it's just me, but I think that's crazy. Most NORMAL people wait a while to make such a big decision.

I was 20, and my wife was 19, when we got married. We were far from Christians at that time. We had a very very good sex life to.

I got married at 21, because I understand the concept, I wanted to make a lifetime commit with my Husband, to God's work and to our life together.

I don't understand why people "wait" to see if she/he is the right one.

The thing about love is, it is suppose to be unconditional, it is a choice an act of ones will, I choose every day to love and honour my husband in thought and speach.

I have chosen to work towards being the Proverbs 31 woman, cause I admire her she is inteligent highly regarded by her husband.

I didn't want to wait around for another 3 or more years to lead myself in to sexual temptation, because that would marr my relationship with God, which I don't want to do.

How can you be certain any one is the "right one", that concept is flawed. It is an active choice to love the one your with, to treat each other well no matter how your feeling.

God helps alot

P.s I don't have kids and been married a year, and was married a virgin

Depends on what you mean by young.
According to the New Testament Apocrypha the Virgin Mary was 12 when she married Joseph and he was 90.But that was his second marriage. He had first married hen he was 40.

Christians are more inclinded to base their decisions on faith than non-christians.

I'm not saying thats any better or worse. Careful decisions just take longer than quick ones.

It appears that all of your respondants so far actually believe your premise that Christians get married earlier in life than non-Christians. Why haven't they asked you to produce some tangible evidence of your claim? May I?

The sex is better when you are young...It is true.

Marriage is wonderful thing for anyone with the maturity to understand that worth of it.

I am a virgin, but from what I have heard sex is incredible. I will learn of this incredible thing someday, when I am married.

It is better to get married than to sin outside marriage

So they can avoid the sins they'd commit if they didn't.
