Ok so I'm 17 and I weigh ...ok I'm a girl and I'm not telling, but a lot and I really need to lose weight. Not only do I need to but I'm a high school senior and winter formal, prom and graduation are right around the corner and I want to look great. But here's the thing, I try to hit the gym at least 4 times a week and I'll do about 45 mins of cardio and I'm slowly getting into the weights and machines like those but my weights not coming down. Not only that but I can't seem to actually stick to any plan I make for myself. Like I said, I'm only 17 so I'm really tight on money and there's no way I can get a personal trainer. I need to lose weight and I need to do it now. I'm hopping for 40 pounds my May. Is that too unrealistic and how can obtain my goal?

Sorry, this isn't really any help, but I have the same problem.. I've been doing regular exercise, including weight training and cardio for months, with a personal trainer that I see every two weeks, and I haven't lost an ounce! My trainer says I'm probably losing fat and gaining muscle weight, and the same goes for you I'm sure, but any addiitonal weightloss has to come from a healthy diet and drinking lots of water, according to my trainer! Good luck, I know how hard it is!!!

Exercise should work with a good diet. Plus to lose weight you have to workout more than 4 days. When I was losing weight I worked out 7 days but in actuality I overdid it. You suppose to have one rest day. So 6 days for losing weight. IF you only workout at school 5 days is good. Then walk around in your neighborhood during weekend for 30min. Good luck. You can also purchase exercise tapes and do them at home.

Combine Exercise with Diet and Meditation, don't ever give up, time will produce results, as long as you are regular, systematic, and, you don't give up!
