If driving, lots of rest stops and check to see what hotels along the way will allow your animals. We put an ice chest filled half way with water in the back seat floorboard for our dogs to drink when they needed. Soothing soft music is alway good. Cover back seats with blankets and bring a few extras along. Bring bones for dogs and a small square of carpet for cats (get small sample at most carpet stores for a buck or two) so they can claw it. Cats seem to get more restless more easy in my experience and are worse to take off when you stop.
Have leashes hooked to the hand pulls inside the car door/ roof so you always know where they are located. Good luck!

if you are driving take a crate and keep it in that back seat. if your pet doesn't want to cooperate, then put him/her in the crate for a little while or you could always get a trustworthy friend to take care of him/her while you are gone. have a safe and fun trip. May God Bless YOU And YOUR FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
