If they're tired of the dating scene, their coupled up friends don't call, society looks down on them, and their single friends are partying like they're twenty *yawn*?

I'm a single 30 something woman and proud of it! I enjoy my own company and being single doesn't bother me. I have found some groups that I get together with regularly and can find things to do almost every week night. I started taking a ballroom dance workshop this year and have met some people there. I attend a meditation group on friday nights and meet people with simular interests. I have an astrology group that I meet with monthly.

I took a stand up comedy workshop and I go try out my new sets at this pub and mingle with other comedians. I also joined a private club and sing karaoke with muscians who are teaching me how to sing.

I find when I spend time alone I can cultivate my interests and build a happy life for myself.......and eventually you'll meet a new mate.....

If you lead a full life I expect they are simply jealous! I found myself single at 32 with 2 kids and had the best few years of my life freed from the shackles of a terrible marriage and mundane domesticity. All the while I was married I envied my single friends so look at it as sour grapes. I wish I'd waited until I was in my 30's to settle down. Although I wouldnt be without my kids even though their father is a complete w@nker. I met the man of my dreams and we have been happy for the last 6 years. Its great. You know who you are and what you want from life in your 30's and are less likely to be swept of your feet by someone completely unsuitable for you. You go girl. Live life to the full and it will all fall into place.

i love being 30 something... it's not party all the time like i did in my 20s, but now i know how to do things for myself without my friends. if society is looking down on me, i'm too busy to notice. there are plenty of events in different venues that don't involve going to the meat market (that's the club... for all who don't know). i enjoy my life, and the really great part of it is the societal shame and guilt are completely gone about sex (unlike being in my 20s). It is greater now than it has ever been!

If someone is bored with their life at 30, then it's time to take a different direction... and by this time, hopefully they have enough know-how and will power to get there.

are you kidding me?? Do whatever makes you happy. Are you happy with your career, if not change it. Are you happy with the way you look, if not change it. Are you happy with the way you feel about yourself, if not change it. Focus on your passions in life and your outlook and attitude will change and you'll be having the best time of your life. Start living now because it's never too late..........

Please, when you find this one out let me know.... I'm in my early 40's and have been trying to find this out for years because I don't like the bars, I don't like to be fixed up cause most of the guys where I live are not on my mental and social level.
