Chilli dogs with onions.

I need to explain why. 5 years ago i had surgery the monday before turkey day. When you have surgery they do not let you eat untill your innards are awake and they use the ability to pass gas (f*rt) as proof you can now eat again. I was expecting to be able to eat on thursday and the alternate choice if you did not want the turkey and trimmings was a chilli dog. This is not something I eat often but I fixated on it as I was recovering and I did not pass gas till friday so no chilli dog. After getting out of the hospital I went and got one. This year my grown children are all working on thursday so no celibration till friday....so.... I will make chilli dogs with onions as aniversary celebration of surviving cancer 5 years. Live long and prosper....and.... Live strong.

i think of the checklist of what isn't on the menu is smaller! Turkey - baked and fried (vast family members) Ham w/ cloves made with a lager/brown sugar sauce Potatoes - Mashed and candy (with marshmallows) selfmade turkey gravy green beans with Sir Francis Bacon and/or green bean casserole Corn living house baked dinner rolls YUMMY! selfmade Stuffing - in chook and out of chook rice pudding quite some appetizers: Veggie trays w/ selfmade ranch crammed jalapenos crammed mushrooms chips/dips deviled eggs tortilla wraps cheese, elk or deer salami w/ Crackers (meat/cheese trays) cakes: Pies - pumpkin, apple, peach, chocolate creme, coconut creme, mincemeat (basically for people who like it), cherry, turtle pecan Pumpkin bread Cheesecake beverages: warm Tahiti Tom and Jerry's warm Chocolate (w/ peppermint schnapps for adults) sparkling cider WINE>>>quite some WINE!!!! i'm specific I forgot something....there is plenty yummy nutrition to think of roughly...consistently large!

Sausage-stuffed mushrooms, bacony deviled eggs, greenbean casserole (with those crunchy fried onions on top..mmm), buttery, brown-sugary, whipped sweetpotatoes (my sis makes them to die for), turkey, lots of stuffing, mashed potatoes and yummy gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pies, and sugar cookies decorated to look like turkeys (with candy corn for the feathers:)) by me! Oh and to wash it all down, champagne and a variety of other booze for everyone's enjoyment. hahaha....I'm so excited cuz I'm actually not working!! Happy Thanksgiving and happy cooking everyone!:) May there be no burned turkeys this year!
