In my experience you never really get over a true love. And I believe you can have more than one true love but it feels different each time. When you mature you realize these things and you just deal with the fact that people have past loves and sometimes past loves interfere with current loves even if the past love is no longer around. If you really like him he can be in true love with you but he has to be open to it and he has to realize that it will be different than the last true love.

From that I don't know if he loves or likes you, but I'm sure he loves his mother, too. I think you should see this as a good quality and be glad he feels that way. From what you said I'm assuming he isn't interested in getting back with her, they just broke up on good terms. He sounds like a guy that actually cares about other people. If it really bothers you then ask him if he wants to get back with his ex or if he just loves her as a person, loves her for what was and nothing more.

You sound immature. I don't believe he loves you. I don't believe you should invest your emotions in a man who is so much older then you, at your age. You read very young. I don't think you know what love it either. Stop this before you get hurt. He has made it clear he is thinking about someone else. Get ready to be dumped. It is in the works. You are merely entertainment.
