I believe man was made in the image of God, not the other way around.

Yes, the bible says that man is created in god's image... however, religion being little more than a hokey control strategy, men made a god in their image, which is why they refer to god as "being up there", "the big fella", "angry", "vengeful" and other such grubby blasphemies.

can our mortal minds really comprehend something outside the confines of time and space? the bible said that man was made in his image, jesus was the manifestation of god in the form of a man. why? so we could have a concrete perception of god. it would be hard for our logical minds to grasp around something that is timeless and without physical confines.
