i want to exercize and lose weight, but i keep getting bored when I do. Any suggestions?

It sounds like motivation is the problem. It is a fairly common problem. It takes alot of determination and commitment to lose weight. Firstly, you will have to reevaluate how much you want to lose weight. If you want to lose weight but do not make it a priority to do so, you will feel defeated in your attempts. It starts with your attitude. Try a positive attitude. Secondly, music often helps people to get going. Don't listen to opera or soft and slow music. Listen to very upbeat music while you're working out helps. Yes, I agree with the other answerer, exercising with a partner is a motivator too. Another suggestion may be to put a poster of an idol whose body you admire. Find a body type that you seek and put it on your wall as a reminder of your fitness goal. Swimming is fun too. Low impact exercise. Aerobic exercise is fun also and you can do it with others as well. Getting a fitness trainer can definitely help.

Remember, the latter suggestions are ineffective if your attitude do not change. Good luck!

Are you basically doing the same tpe of exercise each day i.e jogging or step aerobics?
If so, then I suggest that you try a different one altogether or just vary your routine. Such as jogging 2 days and then aerboics on the remaining days that you exercise.

You could also try to find a partner with whom to exercise
or enroll in a class. I am sure the camaraderie would help

My last suggestion would be to add music so long as you can safely wear headphones while exercising and also not annoy others with the tunes.

well i run!!! yea it can be pretty boring but i used to run track in HS so i learned ways to make it fun lol....but you can always try swimming, playing basketball, riding your bike, walking your dog, rollerblade, mayb try to skatboard..if you've never tried..ice skate...there are endless possibilities..jus find something that you enjoy doing...and somehow incorporate a physical activity to get you going...for example if you like to shop..then you can go to a mall or soemthing and walk...as cheesy as that may sound it may work!! you jus never kno...
