If your thyroid is bulging from your neck, go see a doctor. It could mean that you have a nodule, goiter or tumor. There are other reasons that it could be enlarged, but it's best to leave the diagnosis to the doctor.

I've had thyroid disease for over 30 years....
Your thyroid is more than likely over producing hormones.
I'm sending you a link to a site that is very easy to understand (in layman's terms) and very informative.
Also, do you see a physician for your thyroid? If I may make a suggestion, see an Endocrinologist instead of your regular physician. The endocrine system is their specialty.

no, when your thyroid is visible (when it bulges out of your neck), it means you are either iodine deficient or that you have too much iodine.

um never heard of that. but if your thyriod is visible you need to go see a doctor because there is probably an underlying condition that is making your thyriod enlarged.
