If you and the ex are still married or you got pregnant before divorcing, then yeah, you'll probably need to get that taken care of with a family law attorney. If you were not married, well, you should still call a lawyer, or at least do an internet search on Family Law in your state.

It's really sounding that way. If you're really wanting to know the legal part, I don't know. But, for the baby, keep it safe. Daddies running from the law tend to be bad influences. Maybe after the daddy decides to really straighten up you should re-evaluate, but we're talking years down the line.

No.he will have to go to court and be proven unfit to care for the kid.If they can not find him then they can not prove him unfit.
