Stick with a nice RC person, or someone who does not belong the the many lunatic fringe CHRISTIAN groups. All a little nuts.

I attend an Assembly of God church. We do not believe that everyone from every other church is going to hell. As a matter of fact we work with all the churches in our area. We have a very large church and are blessed with many members who care about the body of Christ as a whole. We help other churches, any christian church, with building projects, painting, adding on rooms anything that they don't have the funds for. My best friend is Lutheran. The only thing that I made sure of is that she has accepted Jesus as her Savior. She knows that baptism doesn't save her. Only Jesus has the power to do that. Her son is seventeen and my daughter will be fifteen. We wouldn't mind them hooking up someday. We both know they were raised right.
As far as Catholics being Christians, it is in each person's heart. I believe there will be catholics in heaven as well as catholics who won't make it, just like I believe there will be Pentecostals in heaven and Pentecostals who don't make it. God knows the heart. Just make sure you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and ask Him to forgive you of your sins. He will come into your life and live within you if you ask Him to. Then, there will at least one catholic in heaven...you.

I think the answer to both of those questions are "no".
First, the Bible is very clear that "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved." I'm certain that many Catholics have put their trust in Jesus, that through His grace they are saved. However, many Catholics believe that it is grace plus works that get you into heaven. Unfotunately, many protestant churches do that as well.
Anytime a church says salvation is through Grace plus "fill in the blank", then that is not the message of Jesus. Our works are as filthy rags, and our best is a stench to God. But, through Jesus Christ, we are made righteous, not by any works of our own, but by God's Grace alone.
Second, I've been in many different protestant churches (including the Assembly of God churches) and I am not aware of any such rule. However, individuals inside the church may have very strong feelings about dating across denominations, but the church as a whole doesn't forbid that.

The Bible says we are not to be unequally yoked. That means, we are not to be connected to(dating, married) those of different faiths. This is not Just an Assemblies of God teaching, this is straight out of the Bible, which is how we teach everything in the Assemblies of God. Straight out of the Bible.
I applaud your boyfriend for being willing to put Biblical teaching before relationships with people. A rare quality among young people today.

The Assembly of God, or Pentecostals, are religious fanatics of the first order. Believe me, you do not want to be involved with anyone that believes as they do. Yes, they do preach from the pulpit that not all Christians are true Christians.
They preach hate and bigotry form the pulpit. While at the same time telling you that if you do not believe what I tell you to believe or pray what I tell you to pray than you are going to hell.
I have seen them rolling around on the floor speaking in gibberish. Run away as fast as you can!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, Assemblies of God, Baptists, Church of Life, and several other evangelical cults believe that if you don't worship God their ways, you are of Satan and ties need to be cut while they gloat over your doomed soul.
I used to belong to Assembly of God. You'll do well to cut ties with that bf. While I belonged to that church I was placed in literal physical danger and nearly spiritually murdered. Be glad you haven't been harmed more than perhaps a broken heart.

No, but if he is Assembly of God he wants someone that will be one with him in his beliefs.
Be no unequality yoked together, it will bring confusion and strife.
Choose which you will follow.
My husband was Catholic and he is not now he is united with me all the way.

Pentacostals like adventists and a few others believe in shunning non members of their faith. Even if they are their own family.
