You are just like many of us who have been misled to believe that Satan is Lucifer. Since you have read Revelation, why don;t you go to Rev.22:16 after you have read Isaiah 14:12-17. And then read about Michael the Archangel in Rev.12:9 that names mentioned were only the great dragon, the ancient Serpent called the Devil, or Satan and not Lucifer.
So the name must belong to someone else and supposed to be a man (Isaiah 14:16-17) and not Satan because he is never a man. Look at King James Version or the Catholic's Latin Vulgate and read that portion of Isaiah I gave you.

Well, brother, you are starting to ask some very good questions.
I suggest you go back to Genesis to read about the very first evil. And get a translation of Mishnah or Talmud, the Commentary to the Torah, to read more about where evil came from.
Mishnah is what Jesus had studied before and when he spoke at the Temple to those present there. There is also the Gemarah, another commentary. No don't confuse that with Gomorrah, the city which was destroyed by G-d's wrath.

My understandings: Lucifer replaced into an archangel, between the three archangels. He replaced into tasked to coach Adam and Eve. besides the undeniable fact that, he has gotten jealous, questioning for himself (i.e. egocentric recommendations), he tempted Eve. His emotions and movements are organic, besides the undeniable fact that, he and both Adam and Eve knew what's ideal. regrettably, Eve, then later Adam did not adhere to the teachings that God has given. This compelled Lucifer to grow to be devil, or in different words, Adam and Eve 'created' devil out of Lucifer by making a incorrect determination.

Devil>Satan>Lucifer> Son of Morning
Lucifer was formerly one of God's most beautiful Angels, until he thought he should/could take over Heaven.
People do wear the cross as jewelry, but, it's not considered IDOL WORSHIP. I have several crosses, I certainly don't worship them. They serve as a reminder of what my Savior did for me. He died on the cross so that I can be forgiven of my sins. Some wear a cross with Jesus on it, none of mine are like that because Jesus is ALIVE in HEAVEN. To me, to worship something, you pray to it, honor it, so wearing a cross isn't idol worshiping

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Lucifer was the original name of the highest archangel of God whose name meant brilliant light, luminescent one, or of the light, until his fall when he was re-named Satan, Prince of darkness, father of all lies, sin and evil.
There are wars in heaven and ultimately all that follow Satan's examples, rebel, and/or sin against God will be cast out, if they do not repent.
