You cant sum it up in one quote from the Bible to make you see the light. Read Matthew. Yes the whole chapter! That will help you understand and realize what this light is all all about.
"Who am i that the Lord of all the earth would care to know my name that would care to feel my hurt. Who am i that the bright and morning star would choose to light the way of my ever wondering heart. Not because of who i am but because of who YOU are!!" Casting Crowns 'who am i'.

I am not so sure a bible verse alone would make you change, but I have prayed to God that he will show you his spiritual presence very soon.

Paul use to persecute Christians too. He really must of been blinded on the road to Dasmascus. Think about it: how could a person drastically change so much overnight?

No one can be "MADE" to see the light. The light of God is there as a flame to draw men unto it's light. There are some men, though, who do not have a desire to be in the light. That's why we all put security lights around our homes. Burglars do not want to be in the light. They shun the light and desire to live and work in darkness.

For you to see the light you must first develop a heart that has a desire to seek Him out and submit to His will. Without this you will never see the light.

Captain Mac,
If you really want to have a personal relationship with Christ. I think you could find many scriptures as useful.

If I would give you a quote from the Bible it would be : 1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins to Him, He can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. - The Book version. Another version says, If we repent and confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life.
How cool is that? No matter what one did God can change everything. We just have to have faith, believe and ask.

If I were you I'd stop asking people to quote the Bible for you and just pick one up and start reading it.

The deaf will here the thunder, The cripple will sprint, The dead will rise from their graves. The blind will see, the wise man will be bless. But the Fools will be lost to eternal fire.
If only one quote? Seems to me, you have already pick your own torch.

Eph 3:14-21
14{Paul's Prayer for Spiritual Empowering--} When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,
15the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.
16I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.
17And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.
18And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.
19May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
20Now glory be to God! By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.
21May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen.
(NLT)

step oustside and look into the night sky and see all the stars in the heavens, no man could have ever created them, look at the human body evelution did not create man, look at the birds of the air, man nor science created all of these wonders and you have to ask if there is a light. Jesus is the light of the world.
