You ask too much of the common Mexican my friend.
The age of heroism, of courage and love of country is now dead. It has been replaced by cowardice, despair, political correctness and "me-myself and my 40 relatives" mentality.

You Yanks have yourselves to blame as well.
You had so many years to establish a clear-cut immigration policy and strict border enforcement, yet the attention has only started coming in recently (1980s), by which time the mentality of "no-borders, freedom to come and go and do whatever to any country" has already taken deep roots in Mexico and in other places from which these illegals come from.

It isnt too late to change this... but the cost of doing it late will not be cheap, and the reformation of Mexico (given the long-entrenched elite and local cowardice I mentioned in other postings) will be both costly and bloody.

It isnt the laws or the borders or rules that need to change, rather its the people and the attitudes they have. Change that... and your problem will be one step closer to being solved.

Because the political situation there renders a quick fix impossible. A major step forward was taken when the PRI lost power, but there is still much to do, and the most important thing -- getting the state out of the oil business -- is nowhere near happening. So, the ambitious Mexicans climb the fence and help the US economy instead of Mexico's. Which suits me just fine; most of the jobs they fill aren't ones that I would care to take.

If you want mexicans out of our country why don't you stop talking and go to Mexico and fix it yourself. Blame it on their government. Heck, why don't you stand at the freaking border. As a HUMAN, they have a right to have a better life. This is like when african americans couldn't use the same bathrooms as whites.
I bet I can pin point you out. You are a very lonely man. Who may have somethings but not as much as he wants. And you need to justify by mexican this and mexican that. This is America if you really want to help a country. Help yours, by stopping the racism. The problem is between Mexico and USA government. Take it up with them.

Look Pedro, I don't know where you're from - and don't care, but I live in Texas where illegal immigrants are a big problem - not Mexicans!

1) Figure out what you're actually pissed off about and then let us all know;
2) Read up on what you're so pissed off about so that you actually have a point; and
3) Realize that illegal immigrants aren't Mexicans, or Hispanics, or African-Americans, or any other specific race - they are criminals from other countries - people who come in to the U.S. illegally!

Hopefully, the more you post, the more people will be disgusted with responses such as yours and learn to sift through the crap and get down to the real issues.

Business rules in the U.S they are smiggling what's closest to the border in order to rebuild the katrina area. They are hiring them because they are willing to work long hours for little pay and in the worst conditions while US citizens b--itch about minimal stuff. I do agree that Mexico should fix their own problems but first the U.S has to step off Mexico. SO in relaity you need to write your congressman and tell them to leave Mexico for Mexico. This will never happen because they happen to be our neighbors. Mexican are not milking the U.S because they are earning their pay and there is no such thing as benefits, Try acting like you're illegal and see that you get nothing. STop using your social security and ID and see how life really is. i thik U need to think outside the box and stop watching TV so much.

LOL!! Mexico's economic strategy revolves around sneaking crimaliens into America. It is a toilet because of a corrupt government with socialistic leanings.(I know corrput and socialist is redundant, sorry)
It is far cheaper for Mexico to use it's military to sneak it's MS-13 loving, TB infected, child molesting maniacs into the country while shooting Border Patrol agents than to actually police themselves, develop their own lazzies-faire economy, and clean up the gov't. Outsourcing their problems. Throwing the refuse into the north country they make believe was stolen from them in the first place.

basically its that they are afraid of the Government. Since the benefits we have in the U.S. that Mexico doesnt have, they intend to think they're entitled to when they are not. Also women who are pregnant have intentions to cross the border to America and have their babies here.

Perhaps because they are too busy picking our crops, cleaning our houses, scrubbing our pots, and their wage leaves little time to think about fixing a country let alone how they are going to support a family.
Ever been to Mexico? We are treated like gold there. They are hard working and will go out of their way to make you comfortable.

sorry to tell ya my friend but sounds too upset with Mexicans. You might have some bad experience about Mexicans but not all are same. and talking about US, our economy is very much depend on immigrants, legal and illegal both. Let me tell ya 1st that I am not Mexican or Hispanic. I treat the people the way they deserve.

US economy is largely depends on how Mexicans/Hispanics are spending their money. Plus Democarte and republican, they both are aware that we need Mexican work force, or its not impossible to prevent them of crossing borders. Not to remind you almost all labor job is done by Mexicans. be prepare for paying $10 for a burger at fast food or $5 for orange juice if you want them back.

However need of controlling growing Mexican population is a different story.
