since it has supposedly happened before, couldn't it happen again, and what do you think would be the consequences?

It seems remotely possible that angel(s) could rebel in the far-distant future, but he or they would be immediately destroyed.

When they rebelled, Satan and his demons were powerful spirit creatures who enjoyed association with the Almighty Himself, just like angels today. However, Satan and his demons traded their godly privileges and their prospects of eternal life for an opportunity to enjoy a few millenia of debauchery and vandalism. Satan and his demons have already alienated themselves from God.

(Jude 6) And the [demon] angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place he has reserved with eternal bonds under dense darkness for the judgment of the great day.

(2 Peter 2:4) God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tartarus, delivered them to pits of dense darkness to be reserved for judgment

Immediately after Armageddon Satan and his demons will be abyssed (imprisoned) for 1000 years, during which mankind (many or most of whom may never have accurately known true worship) will have the chance to learn to serve God without the corrupting influence of rebels such as Satan.

(Luke 8:30-31) Jesus asked [a demon-possessed man]: “What is your name?” He said: “Legion,” because many demons had entered into him. 31 And they [the demons] kept entreating him not to order them to go away into the abyss.

(Revelation 20:2-3) [After Armageddon, Jesus] seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, that he might not mislead the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended.

Those who never had the opportunity to prove their loyalty to God and Christ (because they never learned true worship until after Armageddon) will have a unique opportunity. Satan and his demons will be released from their prison abyss to see if these wicked rebels will attract any of these new worshippers away from true worship.

(Revelation 20:7-10) Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, 8 and he will go out to mislead those nations ... to gather [any future rebels] together for the war. The number of these is [an undetermined number] as the sand of the sea. 9 ...But fire came down out of heaven and devoured them. 10 And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire [which means the second death, death without hope of resurrection]

(Revelation 20:14-15) This means the second death, the lake of fire. 15 Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire.

After this final test, everyone will have had the opportunity to prove his or her loyalty to God. The issue of universal sovereignty will have been settled, for all time serving as precedent that Almighty Jehovah is the best and rightful ruler of the Universe. It seems extraordinarily unlikely that anyone (human or angel) after that time would rebel, if only because he would have no opportunity to "enjoy" his rebellion, not even temporarily as Satan and the wicked do today.

(Hebrews 11:25) ...the temporary enjoyment of sin...

(Ecclesiastes 8:12) Although a sinner may be doing bad a hundred times and continuing a long time as he pleases, yet I am also aware that it will turn out well with those fearing the true God

Anyone who rebelled in the far distant future would be immediately judged and destroyed forever without any hope of a future resurrection.

What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time Nahum 1:9

Once sin and sinners are destroyed, sin will not arise a second time. This planet is the lesson book for the entire universe regarding the result of sinful rebellion against God. The cost of sin is clearly seen in the death of Jesus Christ. The malignant nature of sin has been shown to other worlds who have never sinned. There will be no need for another experiment.

Yes, it could be tried, but it has now nearly been resolved once for all time which means that we will never again face those issues again! Or suffer because of them!So if there is any further rebellion there will not be any more need to prove anything because it will have been proved!

it extremely is all concocted to describe the evil in guy. Blame it on the devil, and since the question arises as to why god could create a devil, they got here up with the story that he substitute into initially an angel, who rebelled. (get each and all of the human features, like insurrection, and so on) So we've a devil who extremely likes it there in hell. possibly once you and that i are in hell long adequate, we can get to like it. a minimum of we can on no account, ever, be chilly! And no heating costs the two! Lemme in!

No. God knows the end of things from the beginning. If there was going to be another rebellion, God would have spoken about it in Scripture.

God is dead. Now man is free... Just kidding. Sure, why not. If I were an angel and had to sit around the throne all day listening to gospel songs and sing praises to some guy on a throne I'd probably rebel, too.

Unquestionably. I think StarTrek is pretty close to the truth.

Just substitute “Moses” for Galactic General and “God” for Commander-In-Chief, and “Adam” for Earth Genetic Research Program, and suddenly everything will make some sense.

No, the bible does not speak of this. Things are moving towards the fulfillment of the rest of the bible's prophecies, and another "rebellion" in heaven is not outlined.

I think it would be hilarious if Jesus decided to take over Hell. I think he could kick Satan's backside if he really tried. He was in good shape.
