I'm no expert but from what we learned in my Anatomy & Physiology class in college so far, the answer would seem to be a maybe. It depends on whether you go cold turkey--no physical activity whatsoever or if you do the minimum required to maintain what you've already achieved. If you stop doing any semi-strenuous physical activity then you may temporarily lose some minor muscle tone whereas if you keep up enough activity to maintain your current muscle tone you shouldn't lose anything.

Again, you should look for a true expert but either way I'd recommend just following your current level of activity as close as you can until you can resume your normal routine.

Yes, even just a couple of days will result is a loss. My job involves me lifting 20 to 30 pounds at a time, with one arm. When I take a couple of extra days off work, I feel that the weight that I have been carring for the last 5 years is alot heavier after missing just 2 days.

maybe a little - BUT - your body will say - nah - they aren't interest in working their muscles -

so when you start back - you'll see good results

(uh - you are starting back, right?)
