Go to http://www.dulux.com.sg/flash/home.html and explore the site yourself. Painting is a really personal thing so you really want to choose colours you're happy with.
The site has several sections for reference, in particular the "Be Inspired" section you can choose the colour family you like (for example I like Neutrals so i picked that). Then you choose a primary colour, and they'll give you a list (including numbers and all) of the colours that match the one you chose.
At the very worst if you can't decide there is a number listed on the site you can call for consultation.

That's something you should decide for yourself, best thing is to look at houses around, look in real estate magazines, pick say 5 colours you like, and then go through the process of elimination.

My opinion is dull cream walls with dark oak wood.

Painting interior walls the same shade as out would be bad. How boring (lazy)?! I really hope you're not a landlord.
