He will get in a heap of trouble.

I have been a NASCAR fan for almost 30 years, and I find myself becoming less interested every year. Part of the reason is because the drivers I have watched for years are slowly leaving the arena. The other part is the changes I see in the governing body. They no longer let the racers race. I feel that they are so interested in making the sport international that the veterans will pay the cost. This saddens me.

Montoya is a very good driver--but how many rules were bent so he could race yesterday? He is a rookie. Rookies make mistakes. In the past when a rookie made a mistake and a veteran corrected them, that was just racing. Yesterday a rookie made a mistake and a veteran corrected him and the veteran is going to get disciplined rather harshly. My question is--are they disciplining Newman because of what he did or because it was the new wonder kid he corrected?

NASCAR is really trying to keep the drivers in check when it involves retaliation on the track. Montoya was quoted as saying he just lost the car and bumped into Ryan just a racing incident from a rookie driver in NASCAR. Montoya could have been injured seriously. The penalty and fine should be very stiff.

If they punish him like a Hendricks driver then nothing but since that was the last race NASCAR will put him on probation to say they did punish someone.

Probably just a stern talking to. NASCAR doesn't care unless someone gets killed.
